How to Crochet a Stethoscope 🩺
Looking for a small, quick, and meaningful crochet project? This crochet stethoscope is just what you need. It’s easy to make and perfect as an accessory for dolls, a personalized keychain, or a thoughtful gift for a healthcare worker.
A personal touch…
The first time I crocheted this stethoscope was as part of a custom doll I made for a dear friend who is a doctor. I wanted her doll to look like her and carry elements that represent her daily life. The stethoscope was that special detail that completed the magic of the project, and since then, it’s become one of my favorite little accessories to add to similar creations.

Suggested materials
You can use acrylic yarn, cotton, or similar materials. Keep in mind that the yarn weight and hook size will affect the final size of the piece. In the video, I show exactly what I used, and you can also find other yarn and accessory options in my Amazon list.
Step by Step 🩺
- Measure 8 cm of thin wire, cut it with the pliers, fold it in half and set it aside.
- Start with gray thread
Gray:
1- mr, 7 sc, inv (7) (7)Black:
2-sk, 35 ch, 1 sc, 7 inc, 1 sc, 35 sl st
- Place the folded wire inside the piece. Make an elongated slip stitch to join the crochet piece with the wire, inserting it through the loop.
