Easy Crochet Flower Coasters Pattern for Gifts and Home Decor 🧶✨
Crochet projects do not always have to be complicated to feel special. Sometimes the simplest handmade pieces become the ones we use and love the most every single day 💛
These floral crochet coasters have become one of my favorite projects because they are beautiful, practical, beginner-friendly, and perfect for gifting.
I have made and gifted these coasters many times over the years to family members, friends, neighbors, and even my children’s teachers ✨ There is something so special about creating something handmade that people can actually use every day.
One of my favorite ways to display them is inside a small basket because together they look like a flower arrangement sitting on the table 🌸🧺
Whether you want to make them for your own home, as a Mother’s Day gift, a teacher appreciation gift, or even to sell at markets, this is such a fun and relaxing crochet project.

Yarn Notes
I have made these coasters using both acrylic yarn and cotton yarn, and both work beautifully.
- Cotton yarn gives a more structured and absorbent result.
- Acrylic yarn creates a softer decorative coaster.
I recommend using medium-weight yarn for best results.
Materials Used 🧶
For this project I used medium-weight yarn and a 4 mm crochet hook.
- Medium-weight acrylic yarn or cotton yarn
- 4 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
